Looks great Mellow!!

Sometimes if you use blue masking tape for the line you want to follow, it makes the job a little easier.. That way you can remove the tape until you are satisfied with the line. just saying..
Blue painters tape is the way I did it.
I just cut the decal backing so I had a straight line at the bottom, lined up the decal with the tape.
I measured 1 1/2 inches from the Yamaha tuning fork as a starting point.

I was originally going to place them where the OEM decals were, but Rod (colorider) placed his there and I thought it looked better.
Rod already had removed the OEM decal, so I let him be the first to install them.

Now, in addition to whether blue or black bikes are better (knowing the black ones are!) we will have to debate the merits of which way the decals should go.
:))
Mine are the same as Mellow's bags, in that the thick end is forward and the taper goes travel, like this:

While some of you have followed Yamaha's lead in going the other way:

QUESTION:

What reflective color(s) can legally be displayed on the Front, Side, Rear, of the motorcycle?

White, yellow, and/or red will not get a wink. If you go blue you will eventually get a talking to as a minimum. The vehicle code gives specific criteria but you will be fine within those three colors. CVC 25950

Red can go up front? I knew blue was a no-no.

If your state has safety inspections annually or at time of sale, red up front ought to be a failure. If the mechanic is even somewhat awake anyway.

Blue on unauthorized vehicles will get attention, especially with a killer impersonating a cop recently. Not the attention you seek.

Mountains forward as in riding to the mountains. I like it. Are your decals reflective? I looked for (referred to the #1 post) a list of what was available. I am looking for Black Reflective (left and right).

I have white, white reflective, orange reflective and will soon have the black reflective back in stock.
If you want a different color let me know and I'll see if I can get it.

I updated post #1 with details on available colors and prices.

I just have to say that I love the way the hyphens have been incorporated into the 'E's on this sticker. Way to go-!!
Nicely done IMO.

Thank you! I just tried to follow the original font design.

I can not imagine any cop having an issue with a decal such as mine in any reflective color installed on the side of the bike.
If you were to install a larger area reflective tape, it might become a issue.
