Super Tenere and FJR Sunday Brunch RTE Sept 9, Thurmont, Maryland

Enough of us Tenere owners are from the FJR & sport touring crowd that there is a large overlap in demographics and interests. Nancy (Hello Kitty) from the FJRForum.com and I were talking on Saturday and decided that we ought to try to get everybody together for a ride to eat (RTE). Obviously, nobody is going to exclude folks with other makes of bike.


The date is September 9 (weekend following Labor Day weekend),
the time is 09:30 for brunch,
and the place is Mountain Gate Inn in Thurmont, MD, http://mountaingatefamilyrestaurant.com

I must be missing something, as this RTE is over a month away.

You put diesel in the Tenere?
And are stuck in G'burg? Or at Bike Week?

Or maybe you took the Harley to Bike Week and filled the truck with diesel in Thurmont? After all, no Harley could ride all the way to G'burg on its' own... ::025::

Since Thurmont is so close by, what do you think of exploring some of the trails in Michaux State Forest after the RTE?

Like the idea - just not sure when I could put down some routes. I do think I have some sport touring routes I may be able to resurrect.

You mean to pre-run the routes? I found a map online - http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/forestry/atv/D01_ATV_1.pdf

I might have a chance to do some exploring next weekend. If it works out, I'll post routing possibilities.

Greenridge State Forest is also pretty close by - very easy dirt roads, but fun to play around on.
