I wanted one of these bikes since they were made available in the States. My wife bought me one a few months back and I put on 2,000 miles the first week! Now I am continually practicing long power slides around the gravel roads in Michaux State Forrest on setting number 2, magic.20211007_130620.jpg

My brother in law and I took my DRZ and the S10 into Michaux State Forrest and hit a few of the seasonal roads. It was wet and the climbs/descents on two of the double track dirt paths were snotty with football sized rocks and some roots involved as well as having pretty decent inclines and declines. The S10 handled it all well, it was more work on the heavier bike, I am sure this was not helped by the nearly completely shagged rear 705 tire but very doable. I continue to be impressed with this bike. I also added a Delkevic slip on and am really enjoying the engine note provided by the 270 degree crank timing, but I am a Harley guy, so that crank timing is part of my DNA.20211023_142132.jpg

The bike does well with the right tires and is surprisingly good on dirt. The place the weight and higher CG sucks is in sugar sand like this in Florida.

Former Pennsylvanian transplanted to the south here, and welcome. Former Harley guy too, and don't miss the big twin at all. I've put 85,000 trouble free miles on my 2014 on gravel, dirt, sand (curses) and pavement, and I'm looking forward to many more.

I still love my FLHTK but this S10 is an incredible motorbike!
