Im still running my s10 in and getting used to it (but like it a lot). Its going in for its 600 mile service so good to get views on the following:

On 3 occasions when riding the bike i have suddenly encountered very heavy, unexpected engine breaking - almost as if the bike had stalled. Lasts a split second on closed throttle at speed (eg rolling off throttle on motorway at around 70mph). When i open the throttle again it is fine (may even be that the issue stops before i reopen the throttle - not sure).

I cant replicate it just by quickly closing the throttle - it is significantly more violent than that.

Ring any bells? Should i be raising at the service?

Cheers
Andy

Hi Tempesc, raise it at service, also, have you suffered from any stalling yet? There is an 'issue' ( not really an issue, but only word to describe it) of stalling when the bikes are new until 4k ish miles, then clears up, you may be experiencing that but not the total stall? TBS may also be in order, so see it they do that too, as you are riding onto the continent next month.

Were you in Sport or touring mode? Sport mode is a much more torquey feel and decels very heavily compared to Touring.

Will raise at service and specifically ask for TBS - thanks. Not had a full stall but did wonder if this was a similar issue.

I was in touring mode - it was either a mini stall or a electronics gremlin (or me doing something which caught out the system) rather than me just being ham fisted with the throttle (i did try multiple times to replicate it by being ham fisted but failed).
