Stupid sun melted my dashboard!

Bad!
Suggestions to fix?
Do the halves come apart?
I may wrap it with CF 3M dinoc

I either use my cover when it sits in the sun for extended periods or through a towel that I have over the instruments...

Makes me wonder if that towel woulda went up in flames!!!

I think possible linked to specific shields? Mine sits out all the time at work and I have no issues with my MRA.

I noticed the other day that mine has a few melt marks in the plastic piece directly behind the shield. I never thought that would happen in the pathetic Seattle sun. I carry a white towel to stuff up there when parked. Problem solved.

It has not happened to me, YET. But I know it has happened to a few people, so your not alone. COMBO just had his melt with the Vstream windscreen.
