Stumbling at cruising speed?

Hi again, new owner of a 2012 w/ 23k miles. I recently went on a 400 mile ride and the last hour (around 50 miles) was in the worst downpour I've ever ridden in.
I'm not sure if the rain is related, but since then my bike is hesitating at cruising speeds. Not very much, but often. Like it's just faintly cutting out?
Kind of reminds me of some carbed bikes in my past. The rpms don't swing wildly or anything and the bike has good power.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this?
Thanks,
Zachary in VT

I think this is probably a simple case and your probably on your way to having it resolved.....

Little side note: Next time you have your air box apart there are two little plastic pins at the bottom of the "dirty" side of the air box.... Push those out from the inside out.. This will drain any water that ever might get in the air box.

Second, there is a 'clear' nipple on the left side of the air box, behind the tank. Occasionally pull this off and take a look. There will always be a little something in that little bulb. But check to see if its excessive or might have some water floating on the oil, Etc..... Just eye-ball the contents once and awhile.

Excellent, I'll have it apart next week to swap the CCT. Thanks for the reply, Tabasco

Be sure of your technique for that chain tensioner, one little slip and she will jump time.

Glad you got it going How many miles were on your plugs? Curious. Don’t think this is very common.

A lot of low RPM riding? Lugging the motor?
I just bought the bike so I can't say what it's been through but I certainly don't lug it around, hehe. Funny that it was running fine and after the storm the next day it ran like crap. Anyway, seems to be back to fighting shape.
