Strange Whine/Hum ?

So i have a 2012 with 15000km. In the last couple days i am hearing a whine/hum at 70km/h and again at 100-106km/h. I had a dash insert i installed thinking maybe that was the issue. I removed it and the whine/hum is still there. The only other thing i thought of was the Mitas E-07 installed roughly 1500km ago. I didn't really notice this when the tires first went on. It sure sounds like a bearing hum but i just can't see that being the case with its current mileage. Any thoughts or suggestions ?

Is it the same noise at those speeds in different gears? If so, it's very likely tire related noise. If not, then is it rpm specific? Or gear specific?

When was the last oil change? If you're getting close to oil change interval, change it and the filter and see if the noise remains.

I noticed the same thing when I switched to the eo7s . I just got back from a 2000 mile trip to Utah and I don't notice the whine any more. Even with the noise I really like these tires. Great on street and dirt , and at 2500 miles they still look new.

Oil is new in engine and final drive. Seems speed related. Although i thought i could here it throughout the entire range if quiet enough. Noise doesn't seem to change with gear change. Seems under less load (which may be less engine noise) is where i hear it most. Wish i had a second set of wheels to test LOL.

Knowing you, I'm thinking the second set should be arriving in a week or so.

Did some more testing. Tried a couple gears up and down hum is still there. Tried clutch in and out hum still there. Pulled clutch and coasted could here it from about 106km down to 60km. My guess is the Mitas E-07 are treating this whine/hum. Just seems too high pitched for tire hum. Give it some more km's and see what happens i guess. I do like the tires so far !

When you put the new tires on, did they grease the splines? I had one do that. I removed it and greased the splines and it went away.

/was out for a few hours today. It must be the tires because if i lean the bike side to side the whine changes. Leaned left and right the wine goes away. As i pass through centre it is the loudest. Kinda funny. Will see if it stops with wear.

My K60's wine bad at 45 and 60mph. The front tire is the culprit. Check for cupping on the front.
