Hated the stock seat shape so to save money I removed the cover, reshaped the foam by removing 1/2" of the back section, and used spray adhesive to glue it to the front. Used a rasp to reshape and smooth, stapled the cover back on with a pneumatic staple gun...bingo!

It really improved the ride, my suggestion would be to ride for an Hr before reattaching the vinyl cover to make sure it's the shape you want. Mine feels so much better, when hard on the brakes you don't slide forward, I love the difference!!!!!! Last photo was the stock slope

Only issue I have with that is I can't really afford to take a half inch from the rear of the seat, I'm not a small guy coming in at 258 lol

I like how you relocated the foam from the rear to the front. Smart! Thanks for a list of the tools you used. Keep us posted how you like the new seat after couple 4+ hours rides.

Not sure how far back in seat you sit, but I'm 215 and no problem, you could leave the back as is just glue on some in front, not sure cover would fit though
I ended up having mine done this morning, but rather than cut a half inch from the rear and place in the front I had the guy add a similar size piece as you cut to the front. Seems to be better. I did not want to risk taking off a half inch in the back as there is not much foam there to begin with especially with my fat a!@. I also did the rear bumper mod to lower the rear of the seat. Seams good to go but i wasn't able to try it today due to rain. I think i will like it better though, I found the Seat Concepts to hard for me even with my weight. If this doesn't suit my needs my next step will be and RDL this winter. Cheers!!

I like your idea. I reshaped the seat on my fz6. You could have used a Disc Sander to smoothen out of foam. Just make sure you do it when the seat is off the bike. One slip and you have a nice ding in your paint. Ask me how I know.
