2014 non-ES. Does anyone know the size of the ring nuts on the steering head? I need to replace the bearings and would like to find an alternate tool for the job - a deep castle nut socket or a short spanner - I prefer not to spend close to $50 on the steering nut wrench from Yamaha. Thanks

Don't buy one from yamaha. There are a bunch of them on eBay, that's where I got mine. It was way less than 50 bucks, and might have even cost less than two new ring nuts.

Sorry Bimota, I didn't mean to jump on your bandwagon. I hit post reply just as your post appeared.

Thanks, the problem is the shipping cost to US makes this a $50 wrench :)
