Guys anyone knows where to get a cheap set of wheels that would fit ST, at least so that axle goes through and it can be rolled onto a flatbed to a salvage yard? Luckily I had full coverage on it. Thanks!

I can't help you with the wheels, but am glad to hear that your full coverage worked out. I had been following your Drowned ST thread and this is good news.

My girl's soul will get a new body soon ::012::
meanwhile I ripped apart my 2 other bikes. Most damage is mainly to the harness around the battery terminals. Fuse boxes, relays. Ordered all new harnesses and stuff should be here next week, wanna get them started asap. meanwhile I got a case of ACF 50 and so applying that everywhere.

I'd like to get the wheels off the ST. Insurance is not selling back seawater flooded bikes because they are a hazard according to them.

You might consider using a four wheeled furniture dolly. You can tie the bike down on one or two of these and roll it away. Attached is a picture of a 6 cyclinder engine on a four wheeled dolly. Picked up my dollies at home depot, they are inexpensive and are rated at 800 pounds each. Good luck. Glad to hear you had insurance!

If you have a Harbor Frieght nerby, the often have stuff you can use to put under the bike to roll on a salvage truck.

Good news! I'm glad to hear that it was covered!

It might be a tad more complicated. Often the Ins. Co. will not care much if you keep some parts of the vehicle, as long as it has the overall appearance of being complete, at a glance. I've been told on cars that were totaled, "we don't care what color the body panels are, but it does have to have them all. Likewise as to condition. I scored a pristine hood off a friend's rear end collision car, swapping my trashed hood onto his car. A missing hood, or in this case, wheels, raises red flags.

You might check out a moto salvage place if you can find one locally. Probably several Yamaha's with the same axle dia. Maybe even call some dirt bike shops for some cheap damaged wheels laying around. An undersize axle, (or just a length of thread all from home depot or lowes) and a couple of nuts/washers and you're good.
