Thank you for putting into words what my research, observations and this forum has lead me to conclude. At some point I think I will go for the ECU II and with my PCV I should be in motorcycle Nirvana... ::001::

Nice write up Greg! As a former GS owner, don't know if I could ever go back after all the issues I had with my 05. The more I ride my Tenere the more I say to myself " you Beemer guys don't know what you're missing" ::008::

Going to be doing the same comparison over three days next week. Should be fun to see what happens, the only difference is my bike has the Gen-2 mod. Planning to do some dirt testing as well. ::26::

I have ridden both and GS is better, but with that said is it, $10000 better when compared to the Adventure not really. You are paying for the BMW name a little, and some extra bling thats nice to have but not a necessity. ::002::

I too have ridden both. (Admit the new GS runs great!)

I'll take the difference in cash layout and "finish" the S10.

Then head out for an adventure that includes all aspects of what these bikes are marketed as being used for. All aspects. Real test, if you know what I mean.

Other than some gadgetry, I believe the Tenere would come out ahead.
