so when a mouse chewed thru the wiring harness on my sport touring bike shorting out the injectors and control modules for good measure, I took it as a sign that it was time for a lighter & less plastic-dipped mount. I went with the Tenere for a couple of sentimental reasons: my first bike was a RD250 ('loved that bike) and I noticed that the ergo's with the seat in the high position are nearly identical to that of a KLR ('had a couple, always fit me well). I need to get it sorted out for a trip to the left coast in a couple of weeks so the farkling has ::013:: begun....

Welcome rider33 from another Honda ST to Yamaha ST convert.

Since I often take long road trips the first thing on my farkle list was to improve wind protection. Also important to me as I ride in the PNW where it can be cold and wet. I got a Parabellum windshield and stock Yamaha wind deflectors.

My Super Tenere is now just as smooth (wind wise) as my Honda ST. I'm 5'10" and would suggest the medium height. Get tall if you're not sure as you can always cut them down.

'yup, Parabellum on order, tho tall in my case (6'2"). Also going for the Happy Trails Bars (lower mounting point for highway pegs) and Rivco highway pegs ('worked well on the DL 650 I had a while back). I'm going to miss that electric screen tho....
