OK new here and seriously interested in an ST. Can someone please tell me what country their ST was made in? Please oh please don't let it be PRC!
Thank you!
Thank you!
After 30 years here, Honda stopped the Marysville plant in Ohio for motorcycle production, but still produce Accords, Elements, and some Civics there. This for Honda was a joint closure with an old plant in Japan. They opened a new state of the art higher capacity plant also in Japan. I still think there are many ATV's made in North Carolina. Other than that, I don't know about Suzuki or Kawasaki.NFTEN said:Sorry if this is off topic a little. What other bikes are still made in Japan, out of all the Japanese makers?

Wow! That is a cool poster following an awesome gesture from the forum. Does a heart good! Looks like some great folks are behind the building of our bikes. When I ride my new ST it will put an even bigger smile on my face.wfopete said:

If it's not one of those four, China is #1 in numbers by far because their price and shipping is so strong throughout the 3rd world. What we in the US forget is that scooters are the #1 seller when talking world sales, not motorcycles.
Korea, Taiwan, India out produce the Euro bikes, again because of scooters, but can't touch China in volume.
Of course, Harley is still big dog in the US market.Harley has less then 65 percent made in the u.s. now. According to my yamaha dealer who also sells victory that claims 85 percent u.s. made. Harley could be 110 percent, and you couldnt give me one for free!
