Suns out 12 deg, they are two weeks into the annual flower count and all we have to do is ride around in circles. What else can you do when you live on an island?
O well I think I will stop for lunch at a new brew pub and go counterclockwise in the afternoon.
Sorry the lower left coast is the best CDN option.

I've been watching and waiting for the temperatures to start creeping up. Finally looks like we can get some of the snow melted!

I could probably hook up for a day ride somewhere. I'm in Cambridge about an hour west of Toronto. I used to live in Oshawa years ago. I'm sure we could arrange something.

Did you have somewhere in mind? There's some nice riding anywhere along the Niagara Escarpment north of TO. Or Bracebridge area. I've been wanting to check out Black River Rd between Orillia and Gravenhurst.

Ouch! I seem to remember you telling me you usually only get an average of 17 feet. Will the snow actually melt on Tablelands this year? I remember it being there in July when we passed through. 19 feet...ouch!

This has been the worst winter in years.Usually we get mild spells between the snow falls to bring the level down but not this year just snow on top of snow.
I never seen it stay through the summer in my 40 plus years, but into late august with this much snow this year for sure,Unless you send us some warm weather.
The ice in the gulf for the ferries is the worst in 30 yours, one boat was stranded last week for 48 hours trapped in ice. A normal crossing is now 12 to 16 hours double the
normal time.

Now I don't feel so bad. It rained all day Sat, then Sunday morning, about midday the rain stopped and dried out, but cloudy and about 4`c but windy, went out anyway, rode towards a mountain pass (120 km round trip), got higher and the sun was out. Glorious. Rode another 20 mins then started up towards the pass 1700 meters, within 1/2km I knew that was a mistake as I saw the ski gondolas running and people walking with skis on their shoulders, road was wet, but not too bad, then around one bend and slush all over the roads.... and snow dropping from the trees, and me with my 'Trailwings' road tyres on. No choice but to carry on, up and over the pass and down again...............a few clencher moments, but good, oh and bloody cold up that pass, -4`C. Thank goodness for heated gloves.

What's good news for you guys is bad news for us here in South Florida.
Our good riding weather is coming to a close. We are in for heat and high humidity until mid-October. :(
I guess it's about time to pack the gear and head north for those great roads and cooler temps!!! :) -JEP-

Don't forget the downpour every afternoon @4pm. At least that was the way when I lived there in the nineties....
Riding a sportbike with a fullface and a papertowels on the inside to soak up the sweat dripping the minute you put your lid on.
