Put the ride away while back for winter. Was doing some clean up on it last night and notice a missing spoke. Called my local yammy boys and was told need to buy enitre spoke set. Anyone know where a guy could get 1 rear spoke??

Might want to give mother yamaha a call ... just a idea
I'd also recommend logging a complaint with NHSTA as well, so that there is more data getting back to Yamaha. Sure your dealer MIGHT contact Yamaha, but PERHAPS not. So to be fair and increase that data set with real numbers and stats that Yamaha can use for future proofing future S10's etc it certainly would be in all our collective best interests to make that complaint. Especially since not all countries have such an option as the NHSTA, even though this spoke issue affects more than USA S10's.

I'm out of new ones, but I some used ones from having my rear wheel changed out.
Send me a PM with an address if you still need a spoke.

Huh.
Being a newbie and all - I've been doing a lot of reading here.
Just had the bike two weeks and 1,000 miles and went over all of the spokes today. A few of them were loose but none more than one full turn.
I suppose it's something to keep an eye on.

Yup, several threads on this. Seems once they get set in it's less of an issue.

I'm considering the use of Vibra Tite .... reading over the spec page of their VC-3 makes me believe it might help retain the spoke nipples should compression of the hub/nipple flange or stretching of the spokes occur. It's a non hardening compound that allows adjustment of the fastener.

i'm pulling both my wheels off the bike to get them trued, once they are done, ill use green loctite (bearing grade) to help them stay put.
it works well, apply the loctite, and it works its way into the threads

I don't recommend using the bearing grade green loctite. What will do the best and still be able to take the spoke loose by hand is
Loctite 290 for screws and such..

The VC-3 Vibra Tite is rated for fasteners as small as eye glass screws.... which leads me to believe it should work well on spoke threads. The only downside is that it needs to dry for 10 minutes +/- before assembly of the fastener. Might take a while to get around a wheel if your going one spoke at a time.

I'll check the number on the picture bottle, but his green
Loctite wicks in the threads, without having to take anything
