On my last Super Ten , I had a set of jesse's (awesome bags that would probably survive a nuclear blast) and this time around I'm going to save some weight (and some cash) and get softbags. Has anyone tried the Nelson Rigg Adventure Dry Saddlebags on the Super Ten? At a little over a hundred bucks they seem like quite a bargain. Anyway I am curious about the fit and any opinions. Also if i could get away without buying racks by turning the grab handles upside down.

Here's a link to the bags at Revzilla

And a review on Advrider (on page 4 there's a few pics of the bags on a wee, and the size looks good)

I thought about doing those Adventure Dry bags but ended up with the CL-855 set. They work great.

Ran the set just fine without racks. Plenty of places to strap down and prevent flapping around.

Exhaust side is works with the OEM exhaust guard and the heat shield on the bags. Starboard side needs something to hold the bag up...like you said, inverted grab handle works. My wife was on board so we kept those normal and I used a U-Lock wedged between the grab handle and the general luggage attachment loops (the plastic loops under the passenger seat). Run the U up through the loops and lock it into place. Worked perfectly.
