Hey everyone,

Because I was unable to find anything in the web myself, I thought I would ask the experts.

I am considering getting some heated gear, adding a GPS, a phone, and perhaps a heated seat; however, having killed batteries on different bikes before without doing some research, I want to know how much spare wattage is available for accessories on the ST.

Anyone know?,

I think the Super ten has plenty of alternator do do pretty much what You want. Seems as though I read 600 watt alternator, and I may be wrong. Anyways I haven't had any problems and I pretty much run what I want.

The loads you mention should be no problem IF you're not talking about adding bunch of driving lights after that...those will add-up fast. I haven't put a current clamp on it yet, so exact headroom is anydody's best guess.
I was going to post a gestimated figure but will avoid that because the books never seem to fully take into consideration the efficiency of the regulator rectifier. For instance, I have seen a system rated in the service manual at 220W not be able to maintain charge at any more than about 150W when I put an ammeter to it and crunched the numbers. I will no doubt get this test done on the Tenere, but not right away as my bike put away for the winter.

Good luck with all that.
