"Hey Tim, if you get a chance could you measure how high the can/handle rises over the mount where the top strap comes over? I'm trying to figure out if this system will work on the Jessie's."

Will do, tonight. Stay tuned.

If I understand you correctly I think the answer is 3". The total height of the can is 9" Let me know if you need any other shots.

Not bad, Tim, not bad at all. 3l are only gonna weight maybe 6-7 pounds plus the tank itself. Did you feel you got a good, waterproof seal on the base plate against the pannier ??? ? Is there any kind of bottom support, or just the strap ??? R ::024:: ::017::

OK never mind. I see the bottom support now. Missed it the first time. R
6.073 pounds per US Gallon.

One liter equals .264 gallons
Three liter equals .792 gallons

6.073 x .792 = 4.809 pounds + container + bracket + hardware. I am guessing 6 pounds per 3L container installed and filled.

No I did not know these numbers so I Googled them.

Yep, if you don't have anything to weigh you gotta guess. Freebird should have a better guessedament.

Other than the weight being at the rear of the SuperT it looks like a good way to haul additional fuel.

edit:
I wanted to mount the caontainers on the front of the cases but the left case has a very small area because of the mount.

Here is the Touratech double bottle holder on the front of the OEM bags, right side. There is also a drinking bottle that you can switch out the fuel canisters with. I bought the 20 oz bottles as I was concerned about the larger 30 oz bottles hitting the bag handle.
