Spacer on brake side

Hi. Got some new tyres fitted today. There's a space though on the brake side - between the edge of the brake holder mech and the swing arm. I'm sure it wasn't like this before. Any thoughts - should they look like this or should the brake holder be flush against the swimgarm?

How you have it in the picture is *EXACTLY* how it's supposed to be... At least according to the Yamaha factory service manual, as well as how I've been doing mine now for nearly 3 years and over 40,000 miles.

Thanks man - I actually just found a thread too - removal and refitting of rear wheel - wit pictures and you've commented on it also - by the pictures there look the exact same.

My mind is at rest!
