This is a custom 8.2 gallon Super Tenere tank that was built and assembled by a professional welder / fabricator and friend of mine. We built this using a stock 2015 Super Tenere tank and basic cut the top off and welded 2" extensions in and raised the top the tank.

The tank was then pressure tested with air, then skimmed and coated with a high content fiberglass filler, sanded, primed, and painted gloss black with a nice paint job. I then wrapped it with vinyl camo wrap. If you want a black tank you can remove the vinyl, it does not harm the paint.

You'll never find another one like it, that is for sure. It accepts the standard Super Tenere fill cap in the top and fuel pump in the bottom. It does not leak and is solid, very well built.

If you want to expand the range of your Super Tenere this is the way to do it. Will fit all years of Super Teneres, 2010 to 2021. The tank is in excellent shape but I'm selling my Super Tenere and time to move this to a new home.

You WILL need risers on your bar to clear this tank!! If you try and use the stock bar height it'll foul on the tank. There is one tiny dent in the tank that I've shown in a picture close up, it's hard to see at all with the camo job.

Price is $1200.

This thing is big and you'll need to pay for shipping. I will pack it in expandable foam so the tank will not be harmed. Probably looking at around $70 to $100 in most of the US due to dimensional weight, so, we'll just call it $85 even for the lower 48.

I love this tank. I would need to remove the “wrap” and spray it to match my 2012... Please let me think the purchase over for the next few days and calculate the cost vs benefits for my next few years adventuring goals. I hate stopping for fuel all the time:). Oh, by the way… How did you volumetrically determine the gallons to be 8.2? I kind of assume that you filled it with gasoline at the gas pump and called it a day?

This tank wasn't made by EricV or Tabasco, nor purchased third party. It was made with a friend of mine and I posted a thread about it here some years ago. It's sort of natural to cut the top off and add two inches of metal into it since that is about the only angular and plane area to do so. Therefore, they all end up looking alike.

The gloss black of the tank is quite nice and it looks good. So if you have a black bike that would work well for you. And of course, you can wrap it in whatever color your desire. Camo isn't for everyone but I do get a lot of positive comments on my camo bike.

I am going to have to hold for now... Dr’s orders are that I should not ride my S10 until I have my hip and my shoulder surgeries that are a result of being run over by an SUV (well, the SUV didn’t run me over… The human driving it did). So, I have to wait for the surgery to be scheduled and then I have to do the rehab, etc. Anyhow, I should’ve never come into town to go to the Home Depot. I drove 30,000 miles without any mishaps...

Has this been sold outside the forum or is there an update? I am ready to buy but got no response to PM or seen any activity. I find it unusual to move a high dollar item and not keep an eye on potential sale unless not that serious.

Can you please convert the SOLD title of this listing to include all uppercase letters at the beginning of the title? Thank you so muchD64C451F-C1CC-47AB-BB94-47C55D813DA8.jpeg
