Well, it turns out I won't be able to take my bike to India after all, so I'm selling it now. The bike was built for extreme-condition riding in the Himalayas, no expense spared, to wit:

2017 Super Tenere non-ES bike for sale. Hard-to-find Sand paint. Always stored indoors, and wintered at a dealership. Many expedition-grade upgrades, including:

Full Tractive suspension (this brand is what Touratech relabels for their own brand) front and rear. Front is their Full X-Treme Fork cartridge kit with 160Nm springs and 36mm pistons (huge upgrade from the 20mm OEM cartridges), rear shock is their X-Treme, which has separate high- and low-speed damping controls, again with high-rate spring. Bike is set up for a ~250lb rider (including gear), plus a 150lb passenger or 50lb of luggage. The original suspension parts will be included. Note: suspension upgrade not shown in the initial picture. Suspension was ordered through Beemershop in California and installed by 30-year master suspension tech at Cycles 128 in Beverly, MA

T-Rex Racing Full Crash Cage and Skid Plate

OEM Yamaha Accessories headlight protector bought from Belgium (Labeled "For Offroad Use Only")

85% Michelin Anakee Wild tires, original 85% OEM Battleax tires included as well

Sargent rider and passenger seats; original seats included as well

Altrider aluminum rear rack (rare); OEM rack included as well

Eastern Beaver fuse block installed

Doubletake mirrors; OEM mirrors included as well

Bike has right at 6000 miles on the odometer as of Dec 3, 2023

Recent maintenance by dealer including air filter, clutch and brake fluid flush, diff fluid change and Swingarm pivot lubrication. Battery replaced last winter with top-tier Yuasa Gel battery. Bike has had oil changed yearly regardless of mileage.

Note: Items not included: Luggage, GPS mount.

More photos coming which will also show the Tractive suspension.

I have only listed the bike here so far. What other outlets would you folks recommend putting the bike in? Is cycletrader any good? Is it worth the fees to put it up on fleabay?

I would post it on ADVrider.com, FB marketplace, craigslist, and Cycletrader. Most of the responses on Craigslist and Facebook are scammers, but in the end, that is where I usually sell my motos. Also, post way more pictures ;)

Thanks. The pictures are coming, likely in the next day or so as I want to get fully current photos. I have some older stuff, but they were taken before I got the big-ticket item (the suspension) installed. Also, they all have my luggage and the GPS mounted, and since neither of those is included, I want to have pics of the bike exactly as it will be sold.

Definitely post on FB marketplace and craigslist. I have sold my last 4 bikes and 3 cars on those with success.

If you were closer or a different time of year I would definitely be interested.

As noted previously, the GPS mount won't be included, but I haven't gotten around to unwiring it yet. If you want photos of anything in particular, just let me know and I'll post them up for you.

Is ebay motors worth the effort? It would be $80 to list the bike for a 10-day auction or a 30-day fixed listing because of the asking price. There's probably more seller protection that way, but I don't know how much of a hassle it is for the buyer, so I don't know how much attention the bike will get.

Im not sure how much traffic eBay gets. If you arent in a rush, I would hold out until next spring when the demand for motos starts to pick back up.

Was this a now ES bike to start? Heated grips? Thanks
Sorry for the delayed reply. This was not an ES bike to start; I found the OEM suspension to be inadequate. And no, it does not have heated grips. As noted, it does have the Eastern Beaver fuse block, so you could probably add heated grips pretty easily.
