::018:: Holy crap I am excited guys! I finally finished the sale of my ST1300 yesterday to a nice fella in my town. I got pretty much what I payed for it back 2 years ago, so I just have to save a little more for a Tenere to be in my Garage! I am looking for a 2014+ model, I need that cruise control!

Right now in my province there are no good ones for sale but hoping that next year that the newer used models will come down in price. In the mean time, I'll be riding my Triumph Rocket III until then!!

Can you bring one in from The US? There's several bargains on the forum right now, and there are dealers that have inventory. Be a great fly and ride!

I've done the import thing before and it was a real hassle, don't want to go through that experience again any time soon!!

But on that note, do the S10's have the ability to switch from Miles to KPH in the dash?

Funny thing is you can change the USA bikes but not the Canadian bikes and right now the $ sucks.

What I'm hoping for is to find a 2014 ES model for around $10K to $11K. I'll wait until the price is in my range!

Patience is a virtue when hunting for the right bike! Keep your eyes open and be ready when the right one shows up.

Good luck and happy hunting!

kijijij mobile is your friend. You will be very hard pressed to find one in that range. First Gen's are in your buying range with low KM ($9500-12000) and higher KM from ($7500-9500)

At a quick glance, no cheap ESs in Canada

Oh I am in no rush at all, no rush at all! I still have my Triumph Rocket III Roadster that I am enjoying every day, and the price of the 2014's will drop and keep dropping until they are in my price range. I don't expect to buy until next year anyway so I've got plenty of time to find just the right one ::003::

I was in the Sturgeon Falls area last week and was told the Yamaha dealer in Verner (R.L. Equipment) had a white 2013 with low kilometres on it for sale for $11,750. Here is the link to the bike:

http://rlequipment.com/preowns/2013-yamaha-super-tenere/

If you are not familiar with the area, Verner is on the Trans-Canada Highway (Number 17 in this location) about an hour east of Sudbury.

Good luck!

Cheers,

Bruce

Thanks for that! I can definitely buy a Pre 2014 model anytime I want but I specifically want the ES model with cruise control. My ST1300 didn't have it, and by gosh I will not get another bike in the future with out it!!

my last touring bike was an ST1300 which I put a lovely 30,000 miles on before mice decided to set up housekeeping in the vee. The S10 was its replacement. I miss the electric screen on the ST and the dial-in-dead-silence it provided but really, other than that I prefer the S10. When you are a few thousand miles from home being on a bike that can pretty much go anywhere and do anything is rather freeing. You for sure want the cruise, the best I have ever used really. 'Good luck in the hunt, it's out there.

(Logan pass in Glacier this past July)
