This skid plate came off a 2014 ST I bought a couple months back. Since the bike only had 2,600 miles on it, everything (including the skid plate) was practically brand new.

I transferred my RideOnADV skid plate from my 2012 ST, so don't need this one. There are a few minor dings, but its in great shape.

Asking $200.

Curious whether you had to mod the RideOnAdv plate given the differences in exhaust? I used a previously modified SW Motech rear bracket, and had to trim the RideOnAdv plate around the cat.

No mods were necessary as I also swapped over my Arrow headers. It fit perfectly.

Apparently, people don't realize that you can't find skid plates for T-12s anymore. And that's a great price.

I already have a plate, but for clarity could you post the fitment of this plate? According to their website, they have different plates for Gen 1 vs Gen 2 bikes, something about a minor change in the rear part, I don't know that a 2014 plate can't be made to fit a Gen 1, because I don't know what that minor change is.

I can't really speak to whether or not this will fit Gen 1. I pulled this off of a 2014, so I can say with high confidence it will fit Gen 2.

My 2012 ST is still sitting in my shop, waiting for me to shine it up and list it. I could try and bolt up this skid plate, but I'm not sure I want to put that much energy into it. ;)

I can understand that and wouldn't think it necessary. I am not otherwise aware of any fitment difference (I have a 2013) when it comes to skids. I went to look on Altrider's site to see if they had separate listings and find that is one more thing they have apparently discontinued, for either Gen. SW-Motech has three listings for 12-13, 14-16 and 18-22, but they all look like they have the same part number, so go figure. T-Rex has one listing for 2012-2021. Should have kept my mouth shut, I guess, your plate may fit the whole stable. GLWS.

I’m pretty sure it’s something to do with the exhaust collector/catalytic converter being slightly bigger/wider on a Gen 2 and a Gen 1 plate would touch it. I have a Gen 2 plate and it’s still a tight squeeze down there.

That sounds reasonable. So their Gen 2 should go on a Gen 1 no prob, but their Gen 1 might have issues on a Gen 2.

That is correct. A Gen 1 skid plate will not fit on a Gen 2 without modifying either the plate or the header.

Larry, sorry for the delay in responding. I've been riding Colorado for the past week and just seeing your question.

I have a coupe inmates interested. I need to package the skid plate and get USPS shipping estimates. Once that is done, I will circle back to let you know.
