2012 Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere for sale - $6500

Bike was purchased as part of the PDP program in 2010, took delivery August of 2011. Bike is currently showing 25,883 miles. Engine is stock, fires right up and is as reliable as a brick. Currently titled and registered in Nevada.

Features:
BMC reusable air filter
GIVI Engine Guards
ALTRIDER Skid Plate
SW-MOTECH QR Luggage Racks with Wendell Case Panniers
RKA Luggage In Charge Tank Bag
Baja Designs OnX Light Bar
Excel Throttle Control
Eastern Beaver PC8 Fuse Block
Upgraded 2014 Clutch Basket

Throttle bodies have been balanced, oil has been changed regularly at 4000 mile intervals. Rear swing arm assembly has been removed and additional lubrication was applied. The fuel cap O-Ring recall was completed, and this bike is not affected by the headlight harness recall.. Battery is about 2.5 years old. There was one leaky fork seal that was replaced. Tires are Heidenau K60s.

I changed out the factory switch clusters so that the left one could be used to control the additional lighting, and the right is from a 2013+ FJR, for one button start/run and hazard lights. Bike will come with the stock windscreen mounted to the stock location.

Shown in the pics but NOT included in this sale is the GPS mount on the tank bag, Dual camera system, tall windscreen and adjuster, or the wiring/controller for my heated clothing.

I will also have a few pieces that I will be posting up for sale separately.

Bump with an update.

I forgot that I have, and will include, the Factory Service Manual with the sale.

Re: For Sale - 2012 Super Tenere NEW LOWER PRICE!!!

Can't believe no one wants this bike. I stripped my '12 down and sold it totally stock for 75 which was giving it away. I put ALL my accessories on my new '16...even the windshield bracket.

THIS IS A GOOD DEAL!!

Congrats! What's next?
Getting my quad running right! It's a 2005 YFZ450, and I really haven't done anything other than ride it. It started getting stubborn to start, and finally on the last trip, it just refused to start at all. Got her home, and checked the valves (first time I've ever done that on anything!), and only one intake valve was tight. Put her back together, and the carb wouldn't stop blowing fuel out the overflow hose, and I ran out of time to work on her before work cranked back up. Got a new needle valve for the floats on its way, so I hope that will be enough to take care of the carb.

I did stop by a local Yamaha dealer to pick up a new float bowl gasket for the quad, and they had a yellow 60th Anniversary Edition Tenere on the floor. Seeing it in person, if that bike had ES, I would have been out selling a kidney or something to get it! I also sat on the SCR950, loved the retro style, but that seat was like sitting on a cinder block! Also swung a leg over the R3, as I briefly owned an FZR600, and having a sporty bike would be interesting, though limited in Las Vegas.

Now if and when the smaller Tenere comes here, that could be something that pegs my "gotta have it" meter.
