Hey all,

I noticed some chatter about having a SoCal S10 ride and thought I'd give planning it a shot. Vote for which day is best for you. If they all work, there's a choice for that.

As for the route I've thought of the following 3 options that end at restaurants. The first 2 are pavement only and the third is pavement and dirt. You can click the link to get an idea of the general route then post which route you would be most interested in.

Pavement Only:
1. ACH + AFH + eat at Newcomb’s Ranch
https://goo.gl/maps/pZsGz
2. PCH + Piuma + Mulholland + eat at Rock Store or Neptune's Net?
https://goo.gl/maps/wNTSt

Pavement + Dirt (optional):
3. Ortega HWY + South Main Divide + eat at Hell’s Kitchen

Looking forward to meeting some S10 riders and seeing your bikes even if they aren't S10s!
Steve

Either Sunday is probably better for me, but no telling for sure. My work schedule is pretty hectic

I'd like to join, but the 14/15 I'll be prepping for the Flying Monkey rally in Utah the following weekend.

Have fun!

14th good for me providing I make it back from TX (on the S10) in one piece. Prefer pavement routes, either one.

Wish we could do all dirt...in fact maybe come over from Silverado Canyon/Maple Springs and slog it over. Wonder if the gate will be open with fire danger being kinda high. Anyhow, I'm in.

I don’t have much off road experience besides fire roads. It would be nice if the fire roads around LA would open, especially Santa Clara Divide Rd. I talked to a Sheriff’s deputy on a dual sport last week and it was his opinion they won’t open anytime soon. I know of a short fire road off ACH we could add to the route. Maybe some of you with more experience off road could give some tips.

Looks like we may have 3 S10s for Saturday the 14th with a preference towards pavement only.

I'd be likely to show up on the 14th for a pavement only ride as well.

I'm good on Sat the 14th for any of the routes

I trying to wear out my stock tires as the bike just hit 900 miles.

Going to upgrade to a slightly better dirt version when these wear out.

Sunday the 15th is Fathers Day and will probably take "Pops" to lunch.

I'd be up up for the Sat or Sun 21st and 23rd, I usually work saturdays , making the OT so to buy more stuff for the bike. Some dirt would be good since it's allready alot of slab time to get there from my home in Ramona.

Sorry... I retract my last. I have to pull out on the 14th due to a work schedule change. I'm only off 11-13th. ::010::

getting close to some of the dates, how is everyone shaping up for the next two weeks?

If we go on a Saturday we could start at Cars and Coffee in Irvine if everyone is able to get to the area that early. Just a random thought I had over the weekend.

Ortega, and then play on South Main Divide as people feel comfortable, lunch at Hell's Kitchen.

If people want to go farther head up Nate Harrison Rd. to Palomar.

Ortega + South Main Divide + some dirt sounds cool. Should we make that the ride for this Saturday and meet at the Cars N Coffee? Or is there more interest for the other routes?

I would be up for this on Saturday. Those that don't wish to join on South Main Divide can play on Ortega a bit and all have a rendezvous time at Hell's Kitchen.

Route #3 it is and the ride is happening this Saturday, June 14th. What time should we plan on leaving Cars N Coffee? If you guys haven’t been there before it’s pretty cool seeing a few million dollars worth of cars and about a dozen motorcycles. Whatever the leave time is decided you may want to arrive an hour or so earlier to walk the lot.

Here is the updated route: https://goo.gl/maps/NT8L2
