Planning to head out to Hungry Valley SVRA early tomorrow morning and spending a few hours (~3ish) exploring. if anyone is interested, I would be happy for some company. Let me know and we can coordinate.

There seem to be a lot of easy trails for beginners to learn on. Trying to get there quite early (~7am) to beat the rush of families and crazies. Admission is $5 and additional info can be found here: http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1192.

I live about 10 miles from there in Frazier. Used to ride dirt bikes there all the time. Just got my Ten about 3 weeks ago and need to get the crash stuff before I venture in the dirt much.
With that said, maybe catch up on a ride soon. Dress warm cause it's going to be cold and foggy that early in the morning.

Thanks CentralCal. I completely agree on not venturing into the dirt until you get some crash protection. I'm still terrified of hurting my baby even with a full Rumbux set (which I highly recommend by the way). Also, based on the harrowing experiences I had on the stock tires in the dirt, you may want to swap them out for something a bit more dirt oriented.

I just got mine too and I'm still deciding on tires.

I'd join you on another day though.

I'm liking my K60s so far. A bit wiggly on the asphalt (<100 miles on the), but an amazing improvement off road compared to the stock bridgestone's. I'll let you know how they do at hungry valley tomorrow. I am a bit concerned about all the sand. Mostly due to my utter lack of dirt experience.

Well, I know tkc80s worked for my Tiger and they'll most likely work on the S10. They're my safe bet. I'm wondering about those Mitas tires and will probably try them out due to price, mostly. The TKC80 is a great time, but it is expensive and wears out fast.

A really good runner up that is more of a road tire than off road tire is the full bore M40. Same tire as a Shinko, but cheaper.
