No, the tail light is not a turn signal. So the guy off the tail piece just below the tail light, including the turn signals, and then mounted in the aftermarket (or R6, I don't know) integrated brake and turn signal unit in place of the oem brake light (just the innards I believe, exterior looked the same). It may be a good idea for those whose aftermarket exhausts melt the thing, just saying. :) If you have a place to put the license plate.... ??? :)

my loe vinci is ok now i fitted it right, when i first put it on i tried to tuck it in a little out of the way so it was pointing at the fender (not the turn signal) but again now its sitting right its doing anything, i just thought its funny since my full remus on my GS used to melt the turn signal lenses!
