Left a 2009 Buell Ulysses in trade for a 2012 Blue Tenere. 80 mile test ride and I was hooked. Already added $2.97 in stainless steel hex head bolts to replace the cross tips on the windshield mounts :) Been lurking for a while, real nice community here! Ed

Hey Ed! Congrats on the new wheels. I bet here are lots of cool roads for you to take the Tenere on. Enjoy.

Welcome on, E.Engler from SD. I missed you before. Greetings from the Yukon, and congrats on the up swap to a Tenere. You'll love it. ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

Welcome
I too came off a Buell but mine was the Firebolt. It's hard to really compare the engines as they are totally different. Personally I like the Buell engine better for balls out grunt but it's hard to live with day to day unless you ride it hard everywhere. The S10 for me is a better all round bike as is the engine and with the clutch mod it seems to go alright, dont get me wrong I would never go back not for what I want the bike for nowadays

Welcome, Ed!

As you put on more miles, let us know how the rest of the bike compares. I have had many different HD products over the years and really enjoyed them.

Really love the Super Ten, and have had to do very little to the bike to make it right for me.

Enjoy the ride!

How does Buell's 1200cc twin compare with the Tenere's 1200cc twin?
The Tenere is much easier to operate. It seems the torque is more managed and the extra gear will be a bonus off road. Gas mileage is nearly the same. The Buell had only 4 gallons capacity so less worry between fills.

Welcome Ed!
Looks like you will be busy this weekend.
I also used to have a Uly, I traded it for an 1125 though. :) Still have an S2 also.
Your going to love the Tenere!
