I'd advertised my 2014 ZE on here and elsewhere with a view to having a bit of a change.... Got an offer of a 2014 Vstrom 1000.... fully loaded plus cash for my Super Tenere.... everything was in place to do the deal, including the meet up point to do the trade over tea and bacon sandwiches.

So then the owner tells me he's come off it in Spain :-\ No mention up to that point that the bike was in Spain... he said that he wouldn't let me have the bike until he'd changed the right side engine guard and brush guard ....( 2mph spill he reckoned)

So I left it until he'd got back into the UK, and then told him that I'd still do a deal with him, and that he just needed to get the bits replaced, no big deal.

He replied that he had decided to keep his bike as the S10 would be too heavy for him to pick up if he dropped it like he dropped the Strom ... I call BS on the whole episode ::005::

So then a guy with a Versys 1000 offered his bike and cash... so back and forth went the messages... until last Tuesday... then nothing.... zilch, no replies to messages .... so I'm convinced he'd changed his mind as well......

Which brought me to the decision to put the Autocom and Satnav back on the bike, and keep it..... maybe it was meant to be ::022::

The back road near me are slowly turning into trails with each passing year of reduced road maintenance budgets, came across one recently described as a "failed road" by a sign at the turning, which I think means it is a public highway and if caught speeding along it you would be liable for a fine, but if the huge pot holes break your vehicle the authorities shirk any responsibility.
