Snowing ……
Yes, it's snowing …
And it snows so hard that I can hardly see …….

Please help me find the happiness that I would seek …
Oh I hate the feel of snow upon my cheek.

With apologies to Fred Astaire and The Green Mile. And all the rest of you, for that matter. Sorry, I had to share. R ::020::

I'll feel your pain soon enough. Lucky for me I have two seasons: riding season and go-out-in-the-woods-with-a-rifle season. (I don't care if I get anything or not, I just want peace and quiet and have a firearm to enforce it) The wife even remarks when the change happens, both ways. It will happen within 90 days here, probably sooner. I hope you have a non-riding pastime, other than shivering.

rem. Have you ever thought of moving further south? Even Calgary would be better. We'd let you ride with us. Still riding season here. Plenty of good stuff around and there is always Montana (4 hours away) if you get bored here. Oh yea BC too.
Come on down!

Much appreciated, Red Cat.

1. I'd need Camshaft's approval before moving to Calgary …

2. Send money. Lot's of money.

Thanks R ::001::

Rem if it helps, it is snowing here today and is forecast to continue. :'(

Come on down and we will sit by the fire and talk of better times and perhaps partake of some homemade elixir.

Just finished mowing, 85 degrees out so I wore my thicker shorts and tee shirt. But, I don't get to enjoy the magnificent scenery that you do up north. Always a trade off. Check is in the mail.... ;)

Sounds simply dreadful. :)

Thanks for reminding me how nice our winters are down here in melt-down-summer coastal Texas.

We got our first snow last night. Just a dusting, but now the salt goons have coated the roads. North of us by the NY border had snow a few weeks back. There goes the riding season (the salt more than any other thing). Today: it warmed up to 22 F, 30 MPH winds, generally miserable to be outside. Without the wind, it would be fine.

I took the beast down to the dealer yesterday, as they offer a winter storage/service package. I get it out of the garage, and it sleeps well in a warm, climate controlled building, which my garage most definitely is not. As I have the extended warranty, it also gets an official visit for the record. I'm planning more garage upgrades this winter, so this helps by not having to move stuff around.

The ride down (100 miles) was an adventure. Lots of what I first took to be tar patches on the roads, then noticed it was ice. Low 30s, very windy. Pretty chilly ride, even with proper gear.

Maybe I'll get out a few more times in with the WRR, but hunting season is upon us, and I don't like to ruin other people's hunts, so that leaves just Sunday for rides.

According the the weather-liars, we may get hammered for Thanksgiving. If so, good thing everything we own is AWD/4WD. It gets really nasty reall quick in the mountains around here. They aren't tall, but make up for it in being steep and shaded.

Greetings Mr. Rem. We feel your pain. I have an idea that may help. There is a place not far from you, called Adventure Rider. In that fine land there is a spot called Ride Report. It's an amazing territory where you can ride in any sunny country your cold little hands care to twist the throttle. It's cheap too, and ice cold brews just around the next switchback. So put on your gear and forget about that white stuff. By the way, your humor keeps us laughing, so don't run out of gas, and keep us posted at the end of each days ride.

Interesting as it shows Garrett county somehow is off the list...Maybe they just called and said they aren't playing this time. ::)

Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
