Greetings from chilly Washington State, where I picked up a new white ST yesterday.

After about 6 months reading and second guessing I chose the ST (obviously); the nearest competition for me would have been an F800GSA, but I really prefer shaft drive and the BMW looks expensive compared to what you can get a new ST for. Weather has been too miserable to put anything but trivial miles on but I've certainly liked how it's felt so far.

Now I'll get to spend my time off over Christmas bolting things on, pretty easy to do since both Touratech and AltRider are headquartered not far away :)

Cheers

Kevin

Welcome on, Kevin from Washington. My brother lived in Bothell for a while. He recently retired to Japan. I went there to visit him at the time …. hmmm …. been a few years now. Nice place. Congrat on that new bike, and ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

A big Howdy to ya & welcome.

I live in Walla Walla but the wife's folks live in Bothell/Mill Creek area. We have ridden our Super Tenere over there numerous times in the last year & a half we've had the bike.

Next time we're over on the bike I'll buy you a cup.

I've owned a lot of bikes since I got re-started in motorcycles in 2000. The Super Tenere isn't the best looking bike I've ever owned or the fastest but it's the most practical. You made a good choice...& the white color looks rad.

Who was the lucky dealer?

--G
Ride Motorsports in Woodinville, caught them on the last day they were open this year. They were very easy to deal with and price matched the lowest price I found on Craigslist for WA dealers - and delivered free to save me riding home on wet streets and new tires.

I'm looking forward to a couple of drier, if no warmer, days in the next week so I can put some more break-in miles on it. Needless to say it's a lot different from the 2003 Fat Boy next to it in the shop.

Since I started riding on a Honda 50 step-through moped in the UK in 1981 this is feeling like the best bike I've owned, and I'm pretty chuffed with the choice :)

Welcome from a fellow newb in Texas. Just got my Santa delivery on the 26th. Got the gray one. For me, it was a toss up between gray and white. Congrats!

Btw, I traded in a 2005 GS. Felt about the same as when I traded in a Land Rover for my 2004 4Runner. I still have the Toyota after 180K miles. I have a feeling the S10 comes from similar stock.

Just flipped 100K on my 4Runner. Plan to double that before I hand it off to my 12 year old daughter as her first vehicle (plenty of iron and good visibility). Change the oil, keep good rubber under it and just turn the key. Been a great cage.
