Received the Luggage rack and decided to install today. Mostly smooth until I tried to bolt on the L shaped bracket behind the foot pegs. The bolts they supplied are way to long. :-[ Anybody out there know what the proper bolt length is for the whole that is right behind the foot peg [and does not go through] ??? I really do not want to do this by piling up washers there.

Never got an e-mail from response from Happy Trails. So, like Mike B suggested, went to hardware store, got alternate bolts (M8x14 125 for the record) and some lock washers ($2.90 plus gas :) ).
Got it completed tonight in less than 20 minutes. Attached the Cascade Paniers. Feels VERY solid

I small niggle: the holes on one pannier were perfectly aligned. The holes in the other a small tad off. I did have to wiggle and adjust things a bit to allow the puck screws to line up with the rack.

The puck-head bolts used to secure the cans from the inside take up space & make it hard to get stuff in & out, so I replaced the pucks with round-head allen bolts. I just throw the allen wrench in the bottom of one of the bags, where I'll find it when it's time to take 'em off (like to make room for the bike in the garage after the trip). I found liner bags that work well (nonwoven shopping bags with strap handle) for $4 each at Walmart in the grocery section. Happy Trails makes a real sturdy case & mounts; I like 'em!
