Slow speed sneeze, hiccup, burp

Every once in awhile I get a sneeze, hiccup / burp with my Tenere.
It usually happens when I go down the block, stopping at the stop sign, downshifted, blip before a total stop into 1st gear.

Sounds like it sneezes through the airbox, I'm guessing.

My bike don't have a rock solid idle. Sometimes it's steady, sometimes you see it move a touch up & down. I'm told by other owners that's normal.
Should I be concerned about a intake leak or something? I'm not getting any back firing.
Does anyone else's bike do this sneeze?

It happened again today & it's an ugly noise to come out of a new bike. Lady on the corner even looked up to hear my bike run screwy with that sneeze pop.
I felt like I was on a old POS that didn't run right!
Embarrassing

I've stalled in traffic a few times (my fault) and bike has the dreaded "off-idle bog" in T-Mode but it has never popped and wheezed out of the airbox. If you haven't already, try the Clutch switch Mod. The lumpy idle is probably because of the 270 degree crankshaft.

I would get it looked at, just in case.

The S10 might sound like a bucket full of bolts and have a distict firing order but I wouldn't exactly describe mine as sounding like a BMW. Doesn't sound quite right to me.

I rather tool with it myself then have it looked at. Never had much luck with anyone working on anything of mine. Car, marine, bikes, etc..
It's disturbing how many people work at dealerships or shops that don't know half the things I'd expect them to know.
I'll pull the tank & check the air filter, sync the bodies, & give things a snug up here & there one of these days.

Don't blame you on that one. The only thing I don't get to do when I do my own work is get a feel for other bikes and what is normal. Might be good to find another one and do a compare.

Mine has never stalled even though it seems to come close to it when it does this sneeze once awhile. I don't feel like the bike really bogs, so I never wanted to do the bog fix in that other thread. Again, it seems to be a cough through the air box.

Mine did that and hated it until I did the clutch mod. Did the sink before the clutch mod and did not change it. Has not done it for over 4000 miles now. It's gone and runs like it should. It acted like a lean condition before I did the mod. I am a happy camper. ::008::
