Find me a slipper and I'll add a 17" front and have the bike that suits me best.

Usually, and I say usually, these companies use the same clutches from bike to bike. If you could figure out, say for example, the S10 uses the same basket as the R1 from 1998 to 2001, but then in 2002 (just picking numbers here) it was upgraded to a slipper unit. Then you could get a donor unit and pop it right in.

This is what the Suzuki DL1000 did. (I know because I upgraded the clutch to a slipper unit in my old Strom.)

While this isn't a slipper clutch, there are settings in the ECU for engine braking, per gear, and per S or T mode. 14 tables total, including neutral in each mode. With the Flash-Tune software, these settings are all there for you to play with. You will have to invent the wheel here.

I bring this method up, recalling a conversation I had last year with an AMA roadrace team crew chief. He was telling my how he much time he spends dialing different engine braking for each gear, for each rider on his team. Each rider liked different amounts. When I asked him about the slipper clutch, he said, "well I can only set that up correctly for one gear, it will be wrong for all the other gears". He changed the settings in the ECU for the others gears, to get exactly what each rider wanted.

This option is available today; a slipper clutch, I don't know if it is available.
