Being a newbie here forgive the following inquiry if it is out of line, politically incorrect or just plain offensive to members. I don't know who sponsors what around here. ::024::
Tell me about Rideon Adv......site is shut down or under reconstruction. I am finding new additions to their line of products added. The Skid plate looks like someone really thought about what makes sense....namely the water pump. anyhow.....I read references to Jaxon on these threads.......if this is forum inappropriate for what ever reason please PM me if possible. I read references to his brake and clutch lines....etc....

He is all good. He prefers calling him, leave message and he will get back right away. Many buy the Hiedenau's from him, and as you said the skid plate which he made and has tested extensively.

Ask away here and we aren't as snobby as ADV on some things. But if you are a duck fan, then that may be a different story. I can't razz you if you are, since I have only married into it, not a lifelong fan of the Dawgs, as I have only lived here 8 years.

Note: he is being pressured by a few customers to join the digital age. These are folks that have been so pleased with doing business with him, they feel compelled to help him succeed further.

I predict he is\will give in. Maybe kicking and screaming, but he will give in.

I bought his skid plate and I'd be willing to say that it is the most protective one on the market. I have tested it extensively and it has held up very well. He even customized mine a bit.

If you plan on doing some serious off-road riding on your Tenere, this is the skid plate to have. If not, just buy whatever is cheapest or don't put one on at all.

Without trying to diss any other manufacturer or other motorcycle make or brand, Mr. Jaxon has designed himself some really nice stuff. And it does not have the German (BMW) Imprimatur bastard step brother design to it. Which means to my way of thinking , it was not designed, used and hung out wet on a BMW before someone saw fit to graciously hand it over to the rest of the Adventure bike world. (No disrespect to you Germanic riders). ::009::

That gas tank enlargement is a work of art.

My first ride off road on Monday almost resulted in my water hose being severed on a tree branch....I must not be the first person to have that happen....so HB has protector but why were the other plates designs not including the coverage.....like playing football with a jock and no cup...Mr. J. has a skid plate that appears to solve that issue. WOW......seriously cool.

You guys have to tell me to shut the H-ll up ......I get passionate about good things....Texas company.....Tenere products......no internet......damn....ole school....love it ::012::

Beware. You may intend on buying $1000 worth of farkles as I was. Right before I got off the phone he asked if I wanted to toss in the Yosh oil and engine plug. Its an upselling technique.
