There is no way oil will come out if you have the right fitting. Mine came with the ES as standard i believe. 2 fittings at the front and ome on the rear. The rear is independent from the oil bolts. Will take a photo of mine tomorrow. Should be same as yours.Well, if oil is pouring out when removing bolt, already through oilpan.
Maybe only from a bolt to long.
Hi yes a photo would be good, only have the bike a couple of weeks.Oil pouring from a bolt hole was quite a shockThere is no way oil will come out if you have the right fitting. I have already had to pound out my Alt Rider Plate once. It seems to have some "fused brackets" mounted to the motor. As soon as this plate wears out I will be getting one of yours.Just wait till that bolt gets pounded into the oil pan....... No good... Need a frame mounted skid plate.
Somebody put too long a bolt in the hole. They bottomed out the bolt and then kept on going until it punched a hole in the oil pan.
Personally I would use a stud + locktite or thread sealer and screw it into the hole. Now mount the plate with just a nut holding it on instead of a bolt. Should be oil tight and cause no issues. No need to remove the stud for plate removal.
If it bothers you a new oil pan would be the proper fix, but a stud and nut would be the cheap easy fix.
