I don't mind being wrong and corrected on this but think it was a one-off for the show bike.

It looks cool, with excellent coverage but it appears to be largely of molded plastic. Not sure how much real protection it would offer. Lots of what look to be one-off parts on that thing.

Tried scouring the interwebs. Nothing much found.
Seems either a one-off build or concept design.

^^^^ This. Non-existant vapor ware. There are some world crosser skid plates, but not exactly like that one.
http://yamabits.co.uk/super-tenere-skid-plate-extension-kit-23p-f84r0-v0-00-black.html

Smoto sells some worldcrosser style bits - http://www.shamighmoto.co.uk/index.php/products/yamaha/yamaha-xt1200z-super-tenere

It doesn't work with the Yamaha OEM bars and is not intended to be more than a small stone/gravel guard.

In regards to the Yamaha skid plate, from the Yamaha site:
The strong, 3mm-thick, aluminum skid plate replaces the stock plastic skid plate. The plate helps protect your engine from small stones and other trail debris.
A separate World Crosser Skid Plate Extension is available to extend the coverage of protection provided by the skid plate. The World Crosser Skid Plate Extension cannot be used in conjunction with Super Ténéré Engine Guards.

I didn't think you were still selling those after designing your own billet, bomb proof version?

Eric,

Everything is for sale... lol... No, your correct, this is not my 'normal' aftermarket plate, but if someone wants a copy and they have the check book open I can make another.

As is what appeared to be an auxiliary fuel tank with the filler cap located where the passenger seat would be. Saw it better in "Random Pictures" a couple of days ago. Figured it had to be one-off since nobody here was talking about it.

Tabasco's bike, namely that very close rendition of the un-obtainable sump guard, is what lead to my eventual begging for him to "do my bike"

It was fun and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I say that because I wouldn't ever be so frivolous with my checkbook again, as Jaxon calls it.
However, I will go on record as saying MY RideOnAdv sump guard is MORE robust than his!
But admittedly, not even close to being as gorgeous.

Your bike. Work of Art. Period.
Nothing more to be said.

I was hoping for the WorldCrosser, but that is way out of reach. I've the inclination, for sure. But the checkbook just cannot go that distance.
Will have to go down a notch to either his 'production' model or Alt-Rider.

Well, in case you don't think so, it falls down on rocks and in the mud just like all the other Teneres.
There are witnesses. The same fellas that help each other pick em up. :)

I assure you that if you ride a Tenere with the lunatics I have the good fortune to, your sump guard is THE MOST important farkle on the bike.
No exaggeration. Most have had to beat\bend theirs back to straight or altogether replace them.
TrikePilot is the only fella I know of to destroy a Rumbux. (I have followed him through the woods and now know how these things can happen)
He now sports a special thicker-tube version of the Rumbux.

This bike truly is an amazing machine. It is outrageously fun to do exactly what is supposedly "not fun" to do on it.

The Tenere can't possibly be the only bike that the two person rule applies? ::025::
It ain't fun alone, last time i heard something go pop and it wasn't the Tenere. :-[
