I've had Skene P3 lights on a couple of my bikes, and really like the added visibility. Went to order a set for the Tenere, and decided to get the Photon Blasters for the front as well. The Photon Blasters typically mount on the front fender, I decided to put mine on my Alt Rider crash bars. Install for both was straightforward.

On the front I used 1" P Clamps to mount the lights. They were not quite tight enough so I used a strip of inner tube under them to make them a bit tighter and add a bit more grip. I like where they are, and they are quite functional, but not as aesthetically pleasing as I'd like. I ran the wires along the crash bar and in near the batter in an existing slot I found. I mounted the controller on top of the battery with a zip tie and connected in to some conveniently located power and ground wires I use for my Delorme Inreach power supply. The Skene stuff comes with PosiTap and PosiLock connectors, which I used as expected.

Here is the controller on top of the battery, and you can see the power taps in the lower right corner of the picture.

Here's the P-Clamp on the Alt Rider bar.

Here's the front view, I still need to align them a bit.

On the rear, I used an earlier thread as a start, but routed thing a bit differently. I drilled a small hole in the fender behind the license plate and ran the cables through that hole and up into the rear tray in an existing home. I drilled a second small hole side ways in one of the vertical stiffeners to run a wire tire through as well. Pulled the seat and cover underneath to get to the rear tray. There I tied into the brake light cable, it's the thickest one that runs to the rear on the left side. I removed a section of the sleeve and taped it off on both ends, then used the posi-taps to connect. The Yamaha cable is Black - Gnd, Blue - Tail, Yellow - Brake. The Skene Red goes to Yamaha Blue, Skene White to Yamaha Yellow, and Black to Black. I used dual lock to mount the controller and buttoned everything back up.

Here's the test fit of the lights. I used the provided brackets at a 45 degree angle down from the license plate bolt.

Here, if you look closely you can see the wires heading into the fender behind the plate. Loog just to the right of O in Oregon.

Here's the underside of the fender with the cable running up into the rear tray.

The controller.

And the posi-taps connecting to the Yamaha brake cable.

Here's a rear view with the tail light on. The LEDs are very bight in this picture, but they don't appear that bright with just the tail light. They flicker, that's what makes the Skene a Skene, and if you take pictures you see them in various states of brightness.

All that's left is to align them vertically with me on the bike. Good stuff!
