I made a site donation on 3rd April 2015, and as yet haven't received an 'acknowledgement' I was wondering if it's normal for donations to take a while to process, any ideas please ? :)

this is not his only job and sometimes it takes awhile before he gets to them. November is a little long though.

I donated shortly after joining as well (2015) and no little medal yet. I emailed about it and a week later or so I had a 2013 donation badge under my name but it vanished after a day or so. It is all good, I figure the forum overlord will get to it eventually. Just having supported this great site is reward enough for me.

I agree, as it seems to only add to the work-load of the admin guys......... unless there is an automated way to doing it?

Thanks for the donations AND for recognition that it takes effort to do the badging. As has been mentioned, Venture is the only person who can currently do the badges, accept new members, or some of the other highest Admin functions. The badging can not be automated.

What is going on is that not only do Venture, AvGeek, and I have real full-time jobs, but Venture has to prioritize which of the Admin functions comes first. We currently have hundreds of applications for membership and all but a couple will let the spammers back in. Nobody wants that and it is time-consuming to weed, as he needs to go through each app individually. Badges aren't the top of the priority list.

Firstly a BIG ::012:: ::012:: for all the behind the scenes work that goes into making this forum run so well

Please don't think that I was complaining when I first posted about donations it was more an enquiry about how the 'badge' system works

Since buying an S10 and becoming a site member I have found this site to be most informative and friendly, I have been on sites and have also moderated sites that could not make such a claim

So keep up the good work guys, it's very much appreciated :)

Let's get real here people: Badges exist on this site so our e-peens can be that much larger. Period. The same way farkles are put on our bike to make our self-esteem-peen larger as well.

I TOOK FARKLE MONEY AWAY FOR BADGES AND I WANT SATISFACTION DAMN IT!

tl;dr: Mah feels.

(Falls back into group of people waiting for our precious 2015 badge ::020:: )

Well I apologize If i offended some folkes. My dad always says I'm Subtle as a train wreck. I might be wrong but this sight would not run if it wasn't from donations and I figure if you can spent $13,000 to $20,000 on a bike and $$$$ on Farckles what's the big deal to toss in a few $$$.

FIXED MY PREVIOUS POST WITH APOLOGIES. ::020::
