Does anyone know of a reasonably priced side stand foot? I've seen them on ebay for KTMs for $15. But, in the $45-$60 range for Super Tens. I would like to have one, but not for $50 ! If no one knows of a cheaper one, I guess I'll just wait until someone in China makes a knock off.

I don't care about supporting China, but I have to agree with dangerousdana on the price thing. 50-60 bucks for a .50 cent piece of metal is a rip off. If they had a few competitors those things would be going for $14.95. I would think they would sell a lot more of things like this if the price was reasonable and their bottom line would be better at the end of the year.

If someone wants to spend $10-15 I bet you could find the right shape piece of steel you might like and have your local welder bugger weld it on the end of your kick stand...

We have the strongest one made for the Tenere.. Starts off at 1/2" chunk of billet aluminum and then we have it CNC machined with hardened bolts..
If you can find this aluminum for $.50 PLEASE let me know.. You know of a magic land I don't.. ::013::

Hey Jaxon - Unlike some, I could care less what your cost was for making the sidestand foot, what I paid for it was more than justified for helping keep your shop open.

Thanks for being one of the lone active vendors on this board helping support the community!

I'm just sayin'... Something like this for the super 10 would be nice: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1X-Side-Kickstand-Stand-Extension-Plate-Pad-For-KTM-690-SM-950-Super-Enduro-990-/201126207629?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&var=&hash=item2ed40e608d&vxp=mtr

I bought these shorty clutch and brake handles from China and the quality is amazing! And check the price!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/271525341599?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Not supporting China...I'm supporting me. If people weren't concerned with price, there would not be any Walmarts...

I'm not payin' more than $20 for a side stand foot. I have a little plastic one that I carry in my top box. I'll keep using that when needed. Don't really need it very often. Certainly not $60 often!

* There is NO cheap way to manufacture a sidestand foot. The foot is held in place with three overlapping stainless steel fasteners. I don't remember where I bought mine but since it was installed I have never given it a thought.

The one bias I have is I like the thin foot vs thick foot. Allows the motorcycle to lean and not be so upright.

* unless it is my Gen1 KLR where a friend welded a flat washer to the sidestand foot.

I agree they're a touch expensive, BUT how much damage can happen to your new bike when the ^^$%^*! factory sidestand foot sinks into the asphalt? (Don't ask how I know!) First thing on my new S10 was the Altrider sidestand foot extension. Great product, well made and makes parking "trouble free".... This lets me ::021::

They are expensive for what you get. Having said that I love the one I got from Jaxon. Has served me well.

I agree, and knew that the extra few bucks I spent helped a small US business. If a small business can make a bunch and move them in a short amount of time, it makes sense to "mass" produce at a lower price. But if they only sell a handful, if that, a month, then that really doesn't create a motivator.

I want to see the folks earlier go get a chunk of billet aluminum from grainger and fire up that dusty CNC mill they've got just sitting in the garage. It's cheating if their version uses scrap diamond plate and jb weld to come up with an alternative :D

At the end of the day, it's anyone's prerogative to spend their money as they see fit, but it strikes a nerve of mine when folks earlier mentioned a Chinese "knock-off" or clone, and debating input costs of products, when they're otherwise readily available by Tenere supporting, US vendors here in the USA for a $40 price difference on a $14k motorcycle. I'll probably never get their math, nor will they get mine...

I've got Jaxon's dog bones that lifted the bike, so the extra height on the kickstand was a welcome addition ::008::

I have the Mastech (here), $40 shipped from PAK-Meister (here). Note that the PAK-Meister webstore shows the wrong image. The correct image is below.

Two cent review: a very secure fitting stainless-aluminum(black spacer)-stainless "Sandwich" design. Don't buy if you're a weight weenie, this thing is a small anchor.

To my knowledge these are made in Columbia (sorry I know you were looking for cheaper from China ;D). I purchased this one because I liked the design and I was already placing an order at the store above.
