I picked up another "lil' brother" yesterday! 2016 WR450. I was just about ready to pull the trigger on a 2016 Husqvarna FE501 but I had trouble stomaching the price and possibility of issues with the WP 4CS forks. So for now my stable remains entirely Yamaha. ::022::

my airhead is a Ural which is the wife/kids/dog/parade float bike, everybody wants to go for a ride on that thing, even people who do not like bikes. For lighter weight back road bombing there is the Bonnie, my nod to classic standards. And then in the city most of the time I use a Vespa GT, 'love passing pickup trucks on the freeway with that thing, good theater that....

Haha! I have whole herd. I guess that's what having no wife or kids will do to you.

In all honesty I frequently think I could do with a couple less bikes, but I can't think of one I don't love.

2014 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer

2009 Yamaha Vino 125 (This was a gift from my mother when she got too old to ride)

2014 Aprilia Dorsoduro

My 2000 Honda Nighthawk 750 and 2012 Suzuki DR 650 - My first bike was a 2000 Nighthawk and I was sentimental. The DR is because I don't enjoy off roading the big girl that much.

2004 KTM 450EXC - Because your never too old for doing stupid crap

Rider, we have similar garages. And Oilfield, that's some family. Kinda crazy how many other bikes so many Ténéré owners seem to have. But to be fair, with my three in the garage, I still have my eyes on a Guzzi V7II Scrambler, or a Honda CB1100. The thirst, it never gets slaked!

My garage is similar to many of the above. The Tenere sleeps with my DR650, and my wife's F700GS, and XT250.

the more you have, the more you want. I used to be limited to the available garage space, then a few years back I picked up a hobby farm with assorted outbuildings. Now I could likely park a few hundred bikes if I so chose. One year tho I notice that I had put less than a hundred miles on my KLR. It deserved better than that so I sold it. I'm not interested in starting a museum, I think bikes should be ridden & while I average 10-15,000 miles a year, 4 seems to be the optimal number for me. Any more than that and one of them always seems to get neglected. Like a thoroughbred, bikes need to run.

I realized I really wasn't riding them enough too. I made a new year's resolution to ride >50% of the days in 2016. So far I'm at 73%. ::015::

I made a spreadsheet to track it, and I noticed some bikes were not getting used. So I sold my SV650S to a friend who gets way more enjoyment from it, and I replaced it with the DR650. The S10 gets the lion's share of days, but that's because of commuting. One day I'll probably sell the Aprilia for something sportier and the Moto Guzzi for something better and more useful. For now though I'm trying to enjoy them all for what they're good at.

'No need to sell that one, just park it in your living room and stare at it. That one would put most artwork to shame IMHO. If the sins of my misspent youth would still allow me, I would gladly fold my well-used frame on to one of those. If there is one thing the Italians get right more often than anybody, it's style. 'Bleeding edge tech, not so much but when it's that pretty who really cares....
