Bought a new Shoei Neotech a few days agon and finally got to try it out on a road trip. Great helmet, very comfortable, very quiet especially for a flip front. Pricey, but I am very satisified. Highly recommend!

Excellent! You're a round head guy, aren't you? ;D Great helmet, not too comfy for oval head guys. If it didn't come with it, get the Pin-Lock rain insert, they also work great. LINK

the pinlock is great if you ride in a clean environment. After two years of shit and abuse with my shoei, I ditched the pin lock. Fine dust gets in between the screen and pin lock, and after a while, it feels like looking through stained glass. It now fogs a bit more, but I crack it open a bit, and it's sorted.

Great lid. If I come across a good deal on another one will replace with the exact same helmet.

I agree they do have a life span. I keep mine on a separate visor and do clean it after long rain rides, but it takes care to avoid scratching the soft side. I had a good laugh a few weeks ago when my wife complained her pinlock wasn't working. I looked and she had installed the insert in backwards. :D Worked a lot better when I turned it around.

Love mine, it is a Neutral fit, if not slightly narrow.....But I wouldn't call it round

that's funny!
the rain doesn't bother me, it's the fine fine dust.
It's gonzo now. It will be the same lid for me next go round.

Has anyone tried the schuberth c3 or c3 pro? I'm looking at getting one of these or the shoei neotech
I actually went to buy a C3 Pro (regular C3 does NOT fit my punkin-pressure point dead center on the forehead in <5 minutes). Anyway, after wearing both the Pro and the Neotech for several minutes each I went with the Shoei because it was, for me, a Lot more comfortable. YMMV

I tried the Neotech and it was way tight on the back of my jaw. Thought about chewing gum to help break in the helmet. Otherwise it was a beautiful helmet. Went back to a Shark Evoline. Fits me much better but it is noisier than the Shoei.

I bought a neotec after always owning shoeis. I had the same issue with pressure on my jaw when I closed the front. I put in the narrower cheek pads which helped. After a few weeks wear it has broken in and I dont notice any pressure. I didn't notice the issue in the shop on the demo helmets, so my feeling is that it just takes a little while to breakin which had already happened on the demo models due to so many people trying them on.

I've had mine for 32k miles and it's been excellent. All functions work as new. Great visibility, simple visor removal/replacement, quiet, watertight, and comfortable. Then again, I've got a Shoei head.

I just purchased a Neotec also and I really like it. A little pressure on the jaws, but I think I'll get the narrow pads and they say that will take care of it. Very nice interior and easy to get on. I wear glasses and it doesn't interfere with them at all and it is easy to put the glasses on after putting on the helmet. Very light weight. Not quite as quiet as I'd hoped, but much better than my old one. This one should last a long time for me.

My XL Neotec came with 35mm cheek pads. Put in the available 31mm and much more comfortable.

I'm saving up to by a Schuberth C3 next time with the built in Scala bluetooth. I really like the helmet and it fits me great. Helmet fit is so subjective. Gotta find what protects the ol' melon though....

My neotec was also right against the cheeks, but after about 2000 miles it fits like a glove. I mounted a G9x and get to "rock" on.
