That does look cool, but i won't wear anything but a full face helmet. This is more of a 3/4 helmet.

I've worn a Shark full face for several years now (don't know the model). I can tell you it's a comfortable, high quality lid and an extremely good value. If I wasn't shopping for a new Neotech, I'd definitely consider another Shark.

Can't comment on the specific model of Shark. However I have two Shark Evoline 2's. Modular helmet design, and having bought the first one in NZ last year (2012) while back seeing family, I just loved the whole concept and functionality. So much so, that when I returned to mainland China, I just had to have another one. A forum friend on another motorcycling forum offered to collect one for me from Revzilla and bring it back with his luggage when he did a trip back to the states last Xmas. That saved me a bundle as the imported products here are expensive as with the additional taxes and duties etc. Also at the time of purchase, Revzilla had the series 2 at 50% off as the series 3 had just been launched. I was happy to take the 50% saving. I ride motorcycles and maxi scooters, and the Shark Evoline fits both applications extremely well. My HJC IS-Multi (have both a HJC modular with removal chin piece and a flip top IS-Max) and a Nolan N43 Air modular, however all now sit on a shelf in my man cave, getting little to no use since the Evoline series 2 arrived. The fit, finish, noise level, materials -everything about the two Shark Evoline - series 2, I have, are top notch. Once being able to flip the chin piece to the fore or aft position, I find the concept very useful and has many situational applications. If I had one complaint is that they use a set of D rings on the chin strap - I prefer quick release as are found on the other 4 helmets I have. Aside from that little niggle, very happy camper. I read a lot of reviews on webbikeworld and spent time reading up on their helmet reviews.

I wear an RSR2. Excellent helmet. Shark is one of the few brands that scores very well in SHARP testing and has the same models in the US and EU markets, so that their SHARP results are usable for us (AGV is another such brand, but that's about it). The RSR2 scores a top, 5-star, rating, is light, quiet, comfortable and well built. I have looked at the Shark modulars, but they are heavy.

I had a Shark Kiterider several years ago. It performed well. Reminded me a lot of a Shoei RF900 in its design. The interior materials were a little rough until broken in and they felt on the cheaper side. No complaints though. I wore it for a couple of years then passed it on to a friend who wore it for a few months then left it on a bike while he went in a store and it got stolen...

...never understood people that leave their helmets on their bikes. But I digress...

Its common here, too. Still doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

I wouldn't leave $400-600 items in my car with the windows down - so why would I leave my $600 Arai helmet sitting on my bike??

::026:: Helmet $400, electronics (Bluetooth) $250 leaving it on your bike and getting it stolen = Not very smart.... If I was wearing a cheap POS helmet, I might do it (Hey wait a minute, I don't own any of those....)

Strange looking but each to their own I guess, I got into a Shark Evo 11 a few years back & paid through the neck with it then, a great helmet but found a couple of issue's being that it does change size a little with chin guard back or forward and the tinted pull down slide visor was just touching part of the helmet when going up & down but by the time I picked this up it was all to late! scratches appearing in the middle of the pull down tinted..... aarrgggghh. tried to contact Shark with no return call or email..... so just gave them the finger and just this week picked me up a ICCON dual sport & must say its the best fitting helmet I have had...

Having 2 of the Shark Evoline series 2, I can't say I have experienced the problem you have described. I prefer to use the tinted slide down visor as opposed to the full clear visor, as then I get a little more in and around the face and have not found any scratches on the visor. There are a couple of issues that for some might be, that the Evoline series 2 at least is a little heavier than the other helmets e.g. perhaps almost 1kg heavier then other multi's I own (Nolan N43 Air, HJC IS-Multi), and removing the Evolines' series 2 external visor is somewhat more involved given the whole integrated chin guard swivel design.

The Evoline was intriguing to me, but the described shape made me shy away from ordering. According to Web Bike World, its has more of a round internal shape. I'm most comfortable with an intermediate oval shape and 'sometimes' can get away with shapes described as 'neutral.'

I still have an old Shark RSI that fits me fairly well. The quality, fit, finish and comfort are very good for the price you pay; above the quality of, say, OGK, but below that of an Arai or upper-end Shoei. As a brand in general, they are definitely worth a look.

My latest helmet is a Shoei Neotec, which I'm very satisfied with.

I have a Shark Evoline 2. I love the helmet, 3/4 when you want it otherwise a full helmet. Its my favorite modular to date, but for the flexibility. Otherwise its a heavy loud helmet. I would not mind giving the Evoline 3 a shot.

I really like my Evoline 2. I ordered a new Evoline 3 and had to return it.
It has a new headshape that did not work at all for me.

I use the Shark Vision-R and it's not too bad. It fits really good, looks great and the interior sun visor works better than any others I've tried (dark enough and comes down about 3/4). However, the venting sucks so I always have to have my screen cracked and even then sometimes it still fogs. I'm not sure I'll buy another next time but for what it's worth it's the best helmet I've had so far, though I'm sure I can do better next time ;)
