This is not much of a ride report, but here goes...

For our last big trip of the year, Myself and 4 other guys did a weekend trip to the Susquehannock state forest area in Pennsylvania. We stayed at Little Pine State Park and rode most of the surrounding area. We rode up on a Friday evening and spent two nights.

I didn't mean to, but I got rather inebriated Friday night around the campfire, and my camera stayed in my bag all day Saturday since I was quite hung over. One of my riding partners has a HD Hero video cam mounted to his helmet, and captured the following video footage from the start of our Saturday tour. It's not much but it will give you an idea of the area, which was awesome to ride.

I'm the guy in the eye-searing yellow if you couldn't guess from the Tiger I'm riding.

Venture,
I've visited Hawk point several times. It is indeed a nice little park.
My buddy and I like to leave there and go accross the RT372 bridge, then work our way down to the Conowingo dam.
There are some very scenic roads in that area of PA. as I'm sure you know.
Did your Hi-Viz gear ever spook an Amish horse & buggie? ;D

You're thinking of the wrong part of the state. The Susquehannock area is north, in Tioga and Potter counties. See this map:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=little+pine+state+park,+waterville,+pa&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=34.587666,72.333984&ie=UTF8&hq=Little+Pine+State+Park&hnear=Little+Pine+State+Park,+4205+Little+Pine+Creek+Rd,+Waterville,+Pennsylvania+17776-9608&ll=41.240642,-77.03064&spn=2.052803,4.520874&z=8

However, now that you bring up Conowingo I have that area on my list. Susquehanna state park in MD closed early this year for renovations or else we would have hit there as well.

As for the hi-viz, I love the stuff. I don't care what it's spooking as long as it's spooking!

Thanks for sharing Venture. We need to start making a list of places to meet up as the ST riding group! ;)

Nice video and beautiful riding area. I recognize your buddies ride, Yamaha Roadstar Warrior. I used to have one. Cool power cruiser.

Venture,
I thought you were referring to the state park in Lancaster co., not state forrest.

Yeah, the Warrior is a nice ride. But, I told him that our cruising days are over, so he needs to buy an S10, since we're "adventurers" now! He's been talking about ditching the Warrior for some time, so when the S10 hits shores he might just go for it.

I can understand that. I went from the Warrior to my Strom along with a Uly and a KTM 950SM and now the coming S10. No going back as the S10 is gonna kick butt!
Let's get your buddy converted to S10.

I was thinking of setting up an informal "ride in" late summer 2011 in this area or maybe a bit north of there around Wellsboro PA. Kind of a low key...ride in, camp mingle and in general have a good time on the local roads. We did them with the Triumph Tigers and ended up with over 20 Tigers...no fees, no patches, no pins, no formal schedules,....just a great time. Just a thought if anyone is interested. After I get my Tenere, I plan on doing some recons and camping in that area.

I'm definitely in for another ride of that area.
