Seat placement Dumb question here

Hey,
I own a 2019 S10. When putting the seat on does the rear plastic tab go into the metal slot or sit on top of it? I’m trying the flat seat mod and can’t get front to latch unless I sit the tab on top of the metal piece.

Nope, tab A goes in slot B. Some force is needed to get the seat latched afterward. I'm also pretty sure that if you don't put the tab in the slot, the seat won't stay put.

Hello olympiaWA . I am not sure what kind of seat mod you did so not sure if my information will help at all. I really took the seat leveling to the extreme by completely taking out the bump stops in the middle and the back of the seat. I had to build a spacer to bolt on the rear seat tab so it would fit snug in the slot on the frame. Then I took the front seat pan latch tab off and gave it a bit of a rearward slant by bending it. It snaps in very good and is very tight. Yes the tab on the back of the seat goes under the slot at the back. Hope something there helps you!
