Have the Embossed S/C very happy with it! I didn't like the gripper on the stock seat when in the twisties, wouldn't let me slide left to right without effort. Much better now. Way more comfortable than stock!

I like the gripper top- not sure I'd order the CF material again though. It's fairly soft and several staples blew right through it when I was installing.

I just ordered the standard seat kit in Gripper top with Carbon fiber sides for both the operator and pillion seat. The kits should be here early next week, I will snap some pics when I get it installed.

Hopefully in the next several weeks, I am going to go to seat concepts and have the gripper with the carbon fiber done. I currently have a sargent seat (way to hard for my boney ***) and when I went to wearing Motoport pants, I started sliding all over the place. Have gotten a little better now that I expect it, but really do not like it.

Mark, I'm on my second Tenere' with 81K on my 2012 and 37K on this 2014. There is a difference between the 12 seat from a he 14 seat. I loved the stock 12 seat but the butt feel of the 14 is... Well different. I've always liked Sargent seats on my bikes before and have been wanting to try a Sargent on this 2014. What are your plans for your Sargent? I wish you lived closer perhaps a quick demo on a Sargent seat on my bike would tell me.
Let me know I may be a buyer for your Sargent. Send a photo if you get a chance.
Thanks
Brick

I am hoping to visit Seat Concepts next week. They told me to contact them Monday. I want to put a week or two on the newer seat, and if everything is better, the Sargent will go up for sale. Reasonable price. Will try and get a picture, but they still look new.

Seat Concepts is the top and foam and you mold your own, correct? You guys must be pretty talented, I would not end up with a good result.
It's much easier than it sounds. The covers and foam are made to fit. I ended up having an upholstery place do it because my pneumatic staple gun wasn't working but it'd be a total breeze otherwise.

To the OP. I just got my seat concepts seat this week and took it for its first long ride tonight. It was great. I got the embossed top. Wasn't too slippery or grippy, just perfect. I hated how the stocker always jammed my junk every time I slid around at all. So annoying. The embossed top is perfect for me.
