I use one of these pads from Walmart $20.00 in the auto section. Found out about them from the Goldwing folks works well.

We're probably going to be waiting longer for aftermarket seats than we did for the bike... but, I'm hoping Sargent does something as I really like that on my ST1300.

I received a reply from Sargent and it depends on how much demand they get, so email or call them if you are interested. Here is the reply:

Fred,

First I would like to thank you for contacting Sargent Cycle Products!

Unfortunately, we have not yet seen enough demand to warrant development for this particular machine. However, this can change rapidly so please stay in touch and hopefully we will be offering a seat for this model soon! I personally collect the incoming inquiries for all models as they come in. We always appreciate riders writing in and letting us know what kind of changes they would like to see in any one model of machine. We rely heavily on owners like you who contact us and bring to our attention the next hot ride. It’s even better when we hear from a return client! I will record your inquiry and pass your message onto Mark.

We do however; have another option for our clients/potential clients seating for whom we do not currently carry a World Sport product for. Please take a moment to look at this link to our Custom Seat Services department; http://www.sargentcycle.com/custserv.htm. There you will find all we have to offer you and your machine to attain a Sargent quality seat custom made to your specifications on your seat pan. Should you choose to use our Custom Seat Services, you may call us and speak to one of our highly qualified Custom Seat Services Representatives at 1-800-749-7328 and they can assist you with any further questions you may have to achieve the right comfort and style for you and your machine.

I hope this information was of assistance and we would like you to feel free to contact us anytime you have questions or comments and as always....Ride Safe!

I'm guessing if we had about 20 or so more queries, they might be looking into the SuperT a little sooner...........

Interesting reactions to the S10 seat in this thread. I have Sargent seats on my BMW R1200GS ADV and my R1200GS normal. They were a "must change" item from the earliest days. In contrast, on my Super Tenere, I really like the seat as does my pillion who is very fussy about comfort. It is fine for 800 km. days with no butt discomfort at all. Have about 10,000 km on the S10 now. Maybe consider living with the seat a bit and see if you like it better? It does adapt to you.

Do you have yours in the high or low position? It seems a bit more comfy in the high position for me, but with a 30" inseam, I can reach better with it in low. Also I don't care for gripper covers on any bike, so that will have to change for me. I also thought it was fine until I did a couple non stop rides of over 100 miles. I could ride my 08 KLR with Sargent for over 500 miles in great comfort, but at this point couldn't do that on my S10.

Interesting that "most" of the feedback from the other side of the pond has been positive and "most" of the feedback from this side of the pond has been less than positive. Different butts or different seats????

Hope there will be a great option for all that doesn't like the seat.

Funny though, the seat is one of the things that stand out as brilliant for me, perfect shape, firmness and the anti-slip is spot on.
I use the lowest position and there is no forward slope on mine.. Almost as there are different seats to judge from the comments.
Probably my weight and just personal preferences, I am light, pretty short and do not move around much at all when riding :)

After doing the Speedstar mod I for one am going to live with the stocker a little longer. Either the seat is improving or my arse is getting tougher, it's becoming more tolerable

I got the same "not enough demand" response from Mary at Sargent when I was looking for a seat for my '09 Street Triple R. I finally gave up and bought a Corbin. A week after I ordered the Corbin, I got an email from Sargent saying they had decided to build a seat for the Triumph. I'm not disappointed with the Corbin.
