Customer walks in the shop, says he has questions about the TKC80's on my Tenere parked outside. I walk out to chat about them a bit and notice a freakin' screw head smack in the middle of a block on the rear tire. Customer leaves, I grab a screwdriver and head out to investigate the damage. Quarter turn of the head and "PSHHHHTTTTTTTTTTTT". :'( Only 1700 miles on them...

New tire ordered before I left today and will be mounted Tuesday. Nothing more to add, I really just wanted to whine/moan/vent to folks who understand the depth of my burning hatred for anything that deflowers, violates, and/or inserts itself into tires in such a manner.... :(

Right? Can't just throw it away, and I'm just not big on plugs or patching on bike tires (to each his own) unless I'm up the proverbial creek with no propulsion tool. Trying to think of something cool to do with it for my office...

I have never had an issue with rope plugs in TK80's on my Wee. And those tires don't last very long anyway.

But then I really can't fult someone who errors on the side of caution
