Having seen this on here already ... decided to try one, as it looked a great price even with postage from Russia.....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141926383000?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Arrived in around 2 weeks, total cost around £30 including postage. I could see when it arrived there had been some thought put into it.... no instructions ( not surprising as the guy that makes them is Russian) but the photo's on the advert are self explanatory.

So... fitted it to the standard screen on my 2014 Gen2 .. fitted fine, and once on there is scope for adjusting it without tools. Just been out for a ride to find a sweet spot. 5'9" tall, 30" inside leg, seat on high setting, screen on middle setting....

No buffeting whatsoever.... not a lot of wind noise either ::008:: In fact took it up to 90 with the Schuberth C3 flipped open, and didn't even feel the wind ... so recommended ::022::

Edit: looking at the pictures I need to centre it :D

So where does it hit you level, straight back? Nose, chin?

Seems to deflect the wind blast to the very top of the helmet... using the raised glove test ::008::

I have the MRA on and it works great. The best part is, on the really hot days when you want the extra airflow, it can adjust out of the way (mostly).

Had an MRA on my old GS... got to agree it works great.... the thing that attracted me to this one was the price.... 40 Dollars US or thereabouts including postage... so if someone wanted to give it a go its not a great expense to start with.... and it seems pretty well put together ::008::

I have exactly the same setup

Spoiler work really well, and on hot days in slow traffic you can lower it to get more air into the helmet.

I have the MRA touring extension and I agree they do the job well.

My one complaint about the MRA spoiler is the acrylic is either thicker or not as nicely finished on the edges as the windscreen so the top edge of it is much more visible and also happens to be running through your line of sight.

I also have the Russian unit. Mine is on a Gen1 S10 oem screen. It works as advertised. ::008::

I've always sanded the top edge parallel to your line of sight and then polish it and the edge seems to disappear.

Interesting...what grit do you use and what are you using for polishing? I've never looked into this so maybe there are kits specific for stuff like this?

First you measure the angle you want sitting on the bike, take it to a belt sander and grind it to the angle. Then just sand it down with a few finer grits, at least 320, then a little semi-chrome polish or blue magic and walla.

file it, then sand it. use finer grades.
I use wet & dry sanding paper 600/800 up to 1200 grit. this makes for smooth edges.
If you want to polish them, I use Autosol chrome polish on a cloth. Flatten cloth on a bench/table, smear Autosol polish on the cloth in a line and then run the perspex up and down in the polish. This will buff out the sanding to clear translucent edge.

This is more work than flame polishing - but flame polishing can destroy your work if you don't know what you are doing.

So do you have to drill holes in the windshield your mounting it to ?

Looks like the eBay seller is sold out on these rite now.

MRA sells 2 versions. One that requires holes and another that clamps. I went with the latter.

no the ebay ones from russia are clamp on ones.

here is mine:
Note : i put on a small bit of pvc tubing on the clamp bolt so the bolt threads do not scratch my screen from vibrations.

I see what you mean about the clamp bolt, if the whole clamp is as low as it will sit when you tighten it up the bolt could mark the edge of the screen ,but I positioned mine higher, so the clamp bolt is around 10mm above the edge of the screen , and the clamp pads are still doing a proper job

Outstanding, so glad I ordered this! Great thread and pictures too! Hey Bryn is your GPS mount that uses the little half inch bar custom made for your GPS, or some sort of universal thing? A lot of people complain the screen and bar shake making the mount unstable -- how does it work for you?
