Scotland Trip

Off to Scotland on Saturday for a week. Stocked up on midge repellent and packed the waterproofs, but hoping for not too many midges and half decent weather. Got to be better than the floods we've had here down South !!

I would love to ride in Scotland. Was there a couple of times but drove a car. It's a bit far away from Malta to travel with the bike though. Next week I'm off for a week to the Apennine Mountains in central Italy. Just me and my wife (pillion). That should be fun.

Wife and I are leaving Wednesday for Scotland for two weeks, our first time as well. Six days in Edinburgh, then the rest of the trip will be staying further north.

Went to Scotland once, but from the South of England the Alps / Pico's / Pyrenees / Vosges / Black Forest and Ardennes regions of Europe are all a similar distance - but with better roads, less traffic, cheaper Hotels and a better attitude to Motorcyclists.

Having said that the roads, scenery and traffic are all much better than the South of England ::008::

Went myself in May and it was fantastic, my second year running. The Highlands and West coast is awesome ! . Am going back to do the Islands hopefully in september.
